Meet Anette
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with post-graduate training in Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), a cognitive-behavioral approach.
REBT is a solution-focused approach that has its roots in ancient Greek, Roman, and Eastern philosophy, with a particular influence of Stoicism. The premise of REBT is that our thoughts and beliefs have a lot to do with how we feel and behave.
I have a particular interest in helping my clients achieve emotional balance. I will encourage you to work on current problems, while simultaneously exploring historic patterns. I ask questions and pose theories to help initiate thoughts and dialogue, and to better understand you and your challenges. I’m collaborative and interactive and sessions tend to have a conversational feel to them.
